Flirt in Park Slope!

Flirt is most definitely a suitable name for this adorable boutique, a trove of treasures indeed!
And look, it's so nice that they put seating outside of their store. Thank you for your thoughtfulness oh great Flirty ones!

They know how to rock the reconstructed vintage look for sure! I'm certainly partial to a reawakened nostalgia for the pieces we remember seeing on our grandparents.
The giant locket on a long chain will always say,
"I know how to love, cherish, and honor the people in my life. I keep them around my neck!"

Oooh, these are lovely for the little mermaid inside of all of us.
The clustered opalescent pieces with delicate chain, weathered and new at the same time, yum yum yum.

So reminiscent of my sunken-treasure-deep-sea-hidden-gem blog theme! Joy.
The gold anchor meets... the brass harmonica. It sounds like a love story for an odd couple.

All these pieces tell a story that begs for questions. A definite theme in Park Slope boutique jewelry wear.

I adore how flirt creates community in their store by offering comfy places for visitors to chill.

Reconstructed vintage permeates all aspects of the store's quaint allure.  Their fashions are very "sexy post-modern housewife", with reversible patterns, adjustable snap closures, and mostly local designers from Brooklyn,  and they offer sewing classes too!!

Saw this and my jaw dropped. Definitely a funny kinky gift.

What's the point of being subtle anyway? For the third wave feminist in all of us, just say what you mean and say if from your heart.

Park Slope's Cog and Pearl (my number one spot for successful finds)

Something about scissors translates to cunning and clever for me, buuuuut should you not run when wearing this charm (wink)?

Erica Weiner, you are wonderful! Nice work.

Iconic imagery is interesting and playful, almost mythical.
It seems to communicate an inner secret that the wearer has in relation to the image.
It's like "I have a secret about beeeeeees and grasshoppers that I keep all to myself."

The copper petina is like expedited vintage. Dig it.

Vintage camera charm...vintage cameras are cute, but what are we paying homage to really?
An appreciation for yesteryear, a love for analog? Both.
I bet old typewriters, phonographs, and record players would do well here too. Me likey.

We are not special. We are not unique snowflakes. We do not wear giant green hats.

Oh gosh golly, my copper enamel earring adoration always strikes up conversations with the crafty ones. <3

This appears to be a gem stone on a fiber rope.  It's a cute contradiction that seems to state, "I love the finer things in life, but I'll never pass on a PBR.".

Wowzers. Elsa Pereti is thinking, hmm, maybe I should stop designing for Tiffany's and go to Cog and Pearl.

Dog sculpture made of out old cookie tins and vintage oven handles.

More animal imagery. The deer in headlights is my personal fav.

Starfish. If we can hold on to the vestige a our whimsical golden age from our past, I'd say starfish and seahorses will help.

These treasure boxes are copper and open to reveal a red velvet-lined box.
Something you love but would never buy for yourself.
Which is why, it's the perrrrfect gift.

These are sweet. I like wearing map imagery too.
It's a nice reminder that no matter where you are, you are always with yourself.
Follow the intuition of your heart, and you won't get lost.

If this jewelry could talk it would say, "I follow my dreams, but I still keep my day job.".

Like most of the pieces in Cog and Pearl, these are especially enchanting and whimsical, but with hearty elegance.

Yours truly.

Lucia, on 5th Ave in P. Slope BK

Adorable owl display, matches the natural feel of the clustered gems hanging like grapes.

This sales table is simply adorable (and the sales associate was very friendly too!).

The Italian owner makes most of these designs. Too bad she wasn't in the store, I wanted to ask her about her gorgeous rings!

Owls, owls, galore. I like the promotion of animal imagery in iconic jewelry designs.
I think it supports a tacit environmental mindset and animistic sensitivity.

I'm enchanted by this technique; someone tell me how she does it!

Are those lentils in the highball glass? I didn't realize it in the store. Innovative!

Love.
